In Classroom

The Total Station Training takes place in an instructor-led classroom with an approach that effectively combines demonstrations and hands-on practical exercises in order to reinforce learning. The instruction is delivered over 2 consecutive days. This course will cover the basics of using a total station for data collection.  Covering the setup of the instrument, shooting backsites, and practice collecting data.  Also we will look at the different types of prisms and their offsets, how to collect data with the highest accuracy, and common issues that may occur.

Course Goals

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will be able to effectively operate a current model of Robotic Total Station in their workplaces.

Learning Objectives

Effectively layout points using the system hardware, software, and accessories.
Demonstrate basic competency with tablet controller and software.
Describe the importance of site control.
Describe best practices of system maintenance and storage.
Effectively troubleshoot system software and hardware.

On Site Training

Suitable for

First of all, the course is designed for trainee engineers, site engineers and and those who are involved in setting out and establishing survey control for construction and building work.
The course is suitable for staff with a limited knowledge of setting out using the Robotic Total Station.
It Also provides delegates with the skills and understanding to make full use of the Robotic instruments. We emphasise on correct keystrokes along with ways of avoiding common errors.

Learning Objectives

On completion of the course, attendants will be able to:
set up and use Robotic total Station
check instrument for collimation and correct internal settings
understand coordinates and control systems
upload & download coordinates
set out using programme options inc resection, stake out, ref/arc line, areas…
carry out basic survey
check for errors and working accuracies
